The Taper Candle No.72 is a slender terracotta taper candle in a burnt, medium-dark warm reddish ochre — a colour that sits somewhere between clay pot and sunbaked brick, with a soft matte surface that catches light gently rather than shining. Hand-dipped in layers, the taper narrows to a fine tip above a long, elegant column, exactly as it hangs on the dipping rack in the factory.

It is made from 100% pure, fragrance-free paraffin wax sourced from Europe's premier producer and manufactured at our Danish factory, with a wick of 100% cotton for a clean, steady flame. The base is gently conical, so it seats easily in a wide range of candle holders — brass, ceramic or glass. The candle is self-extinguishing: the flame diminishes 2–3 cm from the base, though lit candles should never be left unattended. Group several dinner candles along a dining table, on a mantelpiece or beside a bowl of dried grasses for a warm, earthy palette.

For the best burn, keep the wick short, leave at least 10 cm between candles and avoid draughts or placement above radiators. Extinguish with a candle snuffer to avoid smoke and smouldering; on lacquered, gold or silver candles, remove the outer lacquer layer around the wick hollow before relighting.
