The High Ball Glass Shadows in Cloudless Clear is a handblown crystalline high ball glass with a gently flared, tulip-like silhouette that sits easily in the hand. Its walls ripple and pinch just above the thick, weighty base, catching the light in soft vertical shadows, while the rim is drawn to a fine, almost invisible edge. The clarity is completely colourless, so it reads as pure light on the table.
Each glass is handblown from ecologically safe, lead-free crystal in the Klimchi family glass factory in Bohemia, Czech Republic, then hand-cut and hand-polished to a high gloss on the rim and bottom. Bohemian crystal is prized for exactly this brilliance and transparency. Slight bubbles or variations in shade may appear — the signature of genuinely handmade glass. Use these crystal tumblers for water, whisky or a long drink, mixed with coloured Klimchi pieces on a dining table, or lined up on an open shelf in a minimalist, japandi or wabi-sabi kitchen where their imperfect curves feel at home.
