KENZAN 104 – Standard Ikebana Flower Pin Frog (61 mm, Black)

The KENZAN 104 by Klatt Objects is a traditional ikebana flower pin frog, handcrafted in Japan in a deep black galvanized finish. Its round, low-profile base holds a dense bed of 168 stainless steel needles, each tapering to a fine point — from above it reads almost as a small sculpture, matte at the rim and softly glossy where light catches the tips.

The needles grip stems firmly at any angle, so single branches, grasses and blossoms can be set with the precision that Japanese floral art asks for. A heavy lead base keeps everything stable even with tall or asymmetric arrangements, while the removable rubber ring protects the inside of ceramic, glass or lacquer containers and stops the kenzan from sliding.
