Vase Cameo Luise

The Cameo Luise is a handmade bone china vase by Klatt Objects, built as an almost perfect sphere and finished in a soft, matte white. Three sculpted cameo medallions sit in relief around the body — a young woman's face with her hair wrapped and drawn back, modelled with the delicacy of a carved shell cameo. A short collared neck rises from the shoulder and a small foot lifts the globe just clear of the surface.

Crafted from premium bone china porcelain, the surface has an unglazed, chalk-smooth quality that catches light in gentle gradients: bright across the curve, shading to a warm grey where the sphere turns away, with the portraits picked out in fine shadow. It is a quietly neoclassical piece that reads beautifully in pared-back, contemporary rooms as well as traditional ones. Use this small white porcelain vase for a few short-stemmed flowers or a dried arrangement, or leave it empty as sculpture on a sideboard, mantelpiece, console or dining table.
