Vase Patara Tall 1719LSBS

The Patara Tall by Guaxs is a mouth-blown glass vase with a generous barrel silhouette that swells softly from a narrow foot and closes towards a slim opening. Its whole body is wrapped in close vertical ribs, hand-cut into the glass, so the surface reads almost like fluted stone rather than a smooth vessel.

The colour shifts with the light: a smoky, mineral steelgrey that turns soft and sage-toned where the light passes through, and dark and graphite-like along the cut edges and the rim. Each rib catches a different degree of translucency, giving the vase a quiet, sculptural rhythm even when it stands empty. The piece is modelled in an original plaster mould in a German studio, then mouth blown in quality glass and finished by hand — because production is manual, slight colour variations occur, and no two vases are identical.
